Sotela is a handmade sustainable, and size-inclusive fashion brand for every woman’s fluctuating body. This is a Los Angeles fashion brand, founded by BIPOC woman Hanna Baror-Padilla in 2016, when she realized from personal experience, women’s bodies constantly change due to different circumstances like weight instability and pregnancy, etc.
So, Sotela, which means “Sew Fabric” in Spanish, is born; a brand that offers sustainably handmade pieces that will fit you and empower you every day (Sotela, 2021).
The collaboration between H Project and Sotela will bring work leisure aesthetics with earthy tones such as obsidian black, earth pine wood, rustic texture and ivory, through handmade garments made of sustainable materials that can provide generous sizing for every day look indoors and outdoors.

The H project and Sotela collaboration meets the two H approved criteria, namely "material" and "artisanal", with its environmentally friendly materials such as the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and brushed organic cotton knits. The Organic Content Standard (OCS) recycled cotton oxford cloth, Tencel lyocell, Eco Made Lycra velour, and more to be revealed before the launch date. Sotela meets the “artisanal” criteria as the brand’s dressmakers will handcraft the entire collection.
